You can still get them (search for: USB MCE IR).  I got two just to be 
safe.  The old blaster was okay, but my remote starting sending 
gibberish, and they were sold as a pair.  Works fine on Xubuntu 20 LTS.  
I have one emitter on the TV and the other on the cable box.
