[mythtv-users] Grey / Black bars in lean frontend

Hi All,

I recently installed Lean Frontend on my ShieldTV.

When watching videos that don't fill the screen (Panasonic plasma) the 
bars at the top and bottom are grey rather than black.

Watching the same videos in the full blown MythTV Frontend the bars are 
black.

 From the list archives I see that there was a discussion on this 
previously but it didn't seem to come to any conclusion.

Was there ever any workaround identified for this?
