[mythtv-users] mythfrontend segfaults when thunderbird pings

Thunderbird is running in a kvm/libvirt guest.
mythfrontend runs on the host.
Both are up-to-date f34.

When mail arrives (at the guest) it pings, and mythfrontend (on the host) segfaults.
This is consistent.

later: even vlc playing in the guest crashes mythfrontend . vlc on the host is fine.
So this is a general audio issue.

If it matters: mythfrontend setup "Audio Device" is "JACK:". Other devices have issues:
PulseAudio:default has volume control sync a bit off
ALSA:default no volume control sync good
ALSA:pipewire no volume control sync good
	ALSA:sysdefault:CARD=PCH no sound
	ALSA:iec958:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 no sound
	ALSA:hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 no sound
	ALSA:hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=3 no sound
JACK have volume control sync good

"has volume control" means vol up/down/mute works.
Sound is through HDMI to the screen.

ALSA:default does not crash
ALSA:pipewire does not crash

Looks like interaction with JACK so am now using ALSA:default.
