That‘s my experience too. You have to check the BIOS settings and do some
experiments. Once properly configured it runs fine.

Maybe there is a hint that may help: In my setwakeup.sh script the
following line is called (but I can‘t remember the purpose):

hwclock --rtc=/dev/rtc0 --systohc --utc --noadjfile
