So I had a lot of pauses this morning as it reached the "new" real time
while watching an in-progress recording.  I started ~30 minutes late
watching so I caught up to real time quickly and it kept pausing as I'd
only wait a few minutes in pause mode before I skipped 1 minute ahead with
the right direction arrow.
I can see in the log a lot of reached EOF messages.
