Yes any modern kernel and HW should support it.
You should setup your system to run fstrim on a
regular basis. Systemd based distros have an
fstrim.timer which should be enabled. This will
run a weekly trim in the quiet hours.
You can also just run it on the command line
# fstrim -a -v
but a regular timed job is best.
