[mythtv-users] can't enter mythtv password for mythtv-setup when I X in via ssh

Trying to do some repack stuff via mythtv setup.

I'm running XMing and Putty to handle the X forwarding. Hve no problem
running something like thunar and getting the dialog.

just ran mythtv-setup. After a countless number of lines of:

(gksu:20869): GConf-WARNING **: Client failed to connect to the D-BUS
daemon:
Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-n23xcAVQWt: Connection refused
GConf Error: No D-BUS daemon running

The dialog box appears asking me to type the mythtv password to shutdown
the backend. I type the password, but nothing gets entered in the dialog
box.

I've never seen this error message before. Doing a quick Google search, I'm
still not sure what to do.
