[mythtv-users] CEC log entries/TV CEC intermittent

i bought a new LG TV the other month since the old one failed. nothing special, just the cheapest HDR10 tv i could find which was an LG model.

mythFE is running on an rpi4 for this TV and is the first time i've used the CEC feature.

mythtv is configured to not turn tv on/off at start/exit (using 'mythfrontend -O PowerOffTVOnExit=0 -O PowerOnTVOnStart=0 ...' in parameters) and i've bound mythtv red&green buttons to turn tv on&off. this typically works if the tv was used in the last 18-24hours. TV on, and HDMI port is selected.

if you go over this time, then the tv will turn on but not switch input correctly - it will remain on the non-changeable default of antenna source.

This could just be a quirk of the TV where something is crashing/deep sleep however i'm seeing a lot of CEC noise in the mythFE logs that might lead to it being an rpi4 issue rather than TV.

to save posting a looong log of it, FE startup looks good and once FE has done it's first 15-30sec startup jobs, i see this repeated very often:

2020-08-14 12:14:00.633691 I [504/635] thread_unknown devices/mythcecadapter.cpp:277 (LogMessage) - CECAdapter: SL initialised

theres also this that occurs rarely:

2020-08-14 12:16:34.958191 W [504/635] thread_unknown devices/mythcecadapter.cpp:277 (LogMessage) - CECAdapter: unhandled response received: opcode=8f initiator=1 destination=0 response=0

are these typical & normal or do they point to an issue?
