A few thoughts assuming the script you used is the one I wrote at
https://forum.mythtv.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=3232#p15773
1. mythbackend must be there (script aborts if not found), but will only
run after it has been configured using mythtv-setup following a reboot
after the script finishes.
2. For network tuners the Raspberry Pi 4 (or Pi3) needs to be configured
to "Wait for network" at boot time using Raspberry PI Configuration
System tab (main menu Preferences).
3. Can you get into mythtv-setup ?
