I’ve found the V3 osx-packager.pl by Piotr, Jean-Yves et al seems to be most excellent (like "quite unique" or "a bit pregnant" :-)
After fixing a few dead urls I sort of hit a wall

build of cmake fails with “missing CMakeLists.txt”
despite spelunking I see nothing. Can anyone help please?
