would this affect stuttering in livetv? I was watching HD livetv (BBC2 HD i think) last night as it was very stuttery.  pause&resume didnt fix but recording and playing the recording gave smooth playback.

if it does cover livetv, any immediate plans to commit to the fixes/30 branch?
