Gary, I just found your PDF instructions on adding HDHR Premium TV service. That doc cleared up some of my confusion. I may just setup a test system with Ubuntu 18.04 and the HDHR external recorder without the premium service. I currently have Sling orange and blue with DVR service and it works for most of the “cable” type channels. I just need the best OTA recording. I could also limp along with the current setup and just keep other devices off of HDHR. It’s worked so far, so it must not be a major problem in my house.
