Thanks for information all of you really useful.

Any chance of you providing a quick example of what you need to put in the channel table or do in setup to manually configure? Does minisatip give a URL to the tuner and this URL gets put into MythTV somewhere?

I would like a DVB-S2 network device first and a DVB-T2 network device as backup but as the best I can find is around 110 euro to 200 euro I was hoping that this Pi Hat would be a cheap entry to see if the technology would work for me at least on DVB-T2.
I like the idea of a device that just works on the network and need no special software to run though.
We can hope that the Pi Hat may result in kernel drivers for better support perhaps with /dev/dvb or more integrated support in MythTV for these type of devices.
