The callsign remains (in a virtual PSIP subchannel).
I am talking about the physical station (the RF
broadcaster).  The history of WNBC predates
Comcast, and GE, and goes back to RCA and
the earliest experiments in what you now know
as OTA TV.  The history includes the one of the
first (experimental) stations in GE's main factory
in Schenectady NY.
