You are welcome.  Along with #13263 and #13264
I would not be surprised there are other fallouts
from the gcc8 AddressSantizer improvements.

I am wondering if some static analysis might
be able to help identify those proactively.  I
do not recall if coverity would catch this (I don't
think cppcheck does).

I never considered myself an expert, but I
have certainly gotten more than just a bit
stale on debugging with gdb.  The good news
is that this particular issue is obvious once
you know what you are looking at (and, for
better or worse, I now know what I am looking
for).
