[mythtv-users] Complication(s) with display upgrade - need help

So, here's where things stand after this morning's exercises: The
built-in Nvidia graphics supports smooth video delivery via the DVI to HDMI
adapter cable while the newer and more capable add-in Nvidia adapter
outputs jumpy, slow video. There could be many reasons for the "better"
video adapter performing poorly, but I've spent enough time debugging
things already, so I choose not to investigate it further.

Thanks to Mike's timely report, his suggested adapter would have been
useful if the add-in graphics card behaved properly since that one has the
required 24+5 DVI connector. Unfortunately, the integrated DVI connector
is only 24+1 -- missing pinholes for the four additional contacts
surrounding the larger blade slot at one end of the connector.

Therefore, I'll give this "StarTech.com DVI2HD DVI to HDMI Video Adapter
with USB Power & Audio" a try: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H2KXB1A.

Thanks again to everyone for their inputs. Seems like there's always
someone on this list who's been there before, knows how to get it to work,
and willing to share.
