Stephen, thanks for the reply.   Today, I just noticed that a few more
patches showed up, so I tried another update. Wondering if anyone has
advice on the best way to solve errors like seen below?  What I normally do
is start removing packages and reinstalling, hoping the errors are
resolved, but sometimes removing things has a huge, undesirable cascading
effect.
