So how exactly are you using VLC?  Do you use Media > Open Network
Stream and give it a playlist .m3u file to play channels?  If so, then
you are using an Internet connection to receive from, not your DVB-S2
tuners.  When you are trying to play or record using MythTV,
mythbackend is telling you that it is using the DVB-S2 tuners, not
IPTV tuners.  So your MythTV setup is trying to use a completely
different way of receiving the channels from VLC.  If mythbackend is
supposed to be receiving the channels from the Internet, then there is
something completely broken in its setup.  Are the channels you are
trying to receive even available via your satellite dish?
