It looks like your tuners are misconfigured - starting LiveTV is
unable to find a usable tuner, and fails. Recording also is unable to
find a usable tuner, and fails, but then sets itself to automatically
try to record the next repeat or next episode of the same program.
However, you do appear to have some EPG data. So either the XMLTV
setup was at some time (or still is) working properly, or the tuners
are set up well enough for EPG collection to work, even if LiveTV and
recording does not.
When running mythfrontend, if you go to Information Centre > System
Status, it should show a set of screens that monitors the operation of
MythTV. The first screen is "Listings Status" which tells you about
your EPG and how it is being updated. Use the right arrow to go right
to the next screen, "Schedule Status" and you will see data about
scheduled recordings, and then right arrow again to get to "Tuner
Status". On that screen, what is the status of your tuners? If they
are not doing anything, each multirec tuner should be listed as "Tuner
x is not recording". But if there are errors talking to the tuners,
they should be coloured yellow and say "Tuner x has an error". If a
tuner is in use for EIT EPG data gathering, I believe it should tell
you about that also, but as I do not use EIT, I can now say what the
message is exactly. When on the Tuner Status screen, you can use the
down arrow to move down onto the tuners listed, and you will then see
in the Details section of the screen the address of the tuner and
possibly more about its status. To move back off that screen to the
tabs that select the screens, use the left or right arrow key.
