Given the general lack of details, here are some
useless places to waste your time looking at:

(a) IR signals can go great distances (and since most
IR devices respond to one of the basic RC signal
types, maybe a neighbor just pushed your buttons).
(b) There are ways to control Myth boxes both locally, and
remotely via numerous input mechanisms over the
network. Networked devices may be vulnerable
to pranksters (or just random port probing). Your
full capture network traffic logs would be a hint.
(c) Cats are known to walk on keyboards (and if you
don't have a cat, the mice and other rodents that
you do have can be helpful too).
(d) The noise from Vuvuzela's are annoying enough
to redirect the universe, and your Myth box is
     not immune to the redirection.
