If you are running master:
On frontend navigate to Setup->Video->Playback->General Playback
Increase the value in Audio read ahead (ms). The default is 100 but you 
can go up to 5000. Hopefully this will resolve the problem.

On previous versions this was called Extra audio buffering. Make sure 
that is checked if you are on a previous version.

If you have a previous version and Extra audio buffering is checked 
already, try in playback to change audio sync.  If changing audio sync 
in a positive direction gets rid of the stuttering but messes up lip 
sync, then using the audio read ahead would fix it if you were using master.
