After my initial fumblings mine is giving excellent results with 
DVB-T/T2 recordings and 'Videos' created from them, playing on an 
1920x1080 TV.  I don't have content or hardware for 4k, but bought that 
model because it seemed likely to be more capable.

I have had it doing all that with software decoding, because h264 
post-processed by my experimental ffmpeg-based cutting program did, 
IIRC, cause hangs at some cuts.  At present the h264 stuff is failing 
anyway, but I'm almost sure that's because I have strayed in some way 
from the recommended settings.

I don't think mythfrontend is affected by the 20-minute timeout when 
using a browser, which I mentioned in another thread, but I reset that 
to 5 hours and the tv timed out instead.
