fwiw: i am using two meecool m8s pro plus boxes, i got for 40 each from
gearbest. on each i added 10 dollar 32gig sdcardand installed coreelec
8.9. kodi is vers. 18. the myth pvr plays everything back surprisingly
well. i have mostly ota recordings at high bitrates. the 905x amlogic
chip will play netflix at 720p and adjust tv for framerates. i also set
up tvheadend in the backend for live tv as it is much better than live
in myth. on andorid side i used custom rom that is based on nexus
player and does android tv. it all works pretty well for a 50 dollar
solution. i agree with comment above that kodi pvr with seek from time
to time but overall it workspretty well and does the commercial skips
if they are accurate.
