It doesn't, but most (or all) of my Comcast recordings on my HDHR-CC are
already H265 so only my OTA recordings would have to be transcoded. I'm
working on getting a new desktop for Xmas (AMD Ryzen 5 w/ 6 cores) so I may
setup a slave backend on it just to do the transcoding at night when I'm
not using it.
