Actually, my development system hasn't had an nvidia card for quite
some time.  I also wouldn't mind replacing my very old, main frontend
with something like a NUC.  Unfortunately, as I understand it, being
able to use the newer vaapi deinterlacers requires a non-trivial
update to our vaapi suppoft and that's an area of code in which I have
absolutely no expertise.
