Yes, the backend is running on the local host.  127.0.0.1 and the IP
address of the PC running mythbackend resolve to the same place.

I run mythtv-status as user fred.  Is "/home/fred/.mythtv/config.xml" the
config.xml you're looking for?

$ more /home/fred/.mythtv/config.xml
