FWIW, last I walked into Halted (HSC) (it has been
at least a few weeks now) they still had a few HDPVR
"guts" (bare PC board) in a cardboard box for (around)
$15 each.  At that price, it might be worth taking the
plunge for a few if you need them (and are "local",
I suspect shipping would ruin the good deal to some
extent).
