The mythbuntu 64bit torrent is still active, so you can download.

You should also install LTS Enablement Stack (gives a later kernel, 
xserver etc)  for Desktop 16.04  see 
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack

Alternatively if you don't mind a slightly  different look and feel from 
xfce, install Lubuntu (even slimmer than Xubuntu) add mythbuntu repo and 
install mythtv
package (gives you complete frontend/backend with database) see 
https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Installing_MythTV_on_Debian for Available 
packages
