Should be no issue. man bind and if your not that familiar with linux, google "bind key to script", then google "mythtvpower.sh" for a script example to kill/restart mythfrontend in a desktop session.  Hopefully, that script not too dated, may need some tweaking as it's from the days when mythfrontend was not stable. _______________________________________________
