Since you're so keen on pointing out his mistake I will also point out
yours: you're not following human etiquette.

He may not have followed etiquette but he took the time to return and
share. On the other hand, it's snarky posts like yours that cause people to
not bother to return to share their knowledge, and add nothing of any value
to the conversation. It also gives open source an elitist, impolite image.

A gentle reminder of email etiquette will suffice. Next time please follow
human etiquette yourself and politely remind instead of being snarky.
