IT ALL WORKS!!! :-)
Going to the channel via the program guide was the answer. I don't know
why I had to do that, as I did set an existing start channel each time,
but who cares! It's working now! :-)
Getting the 3 tuners to work together was the next problem. For a while,
I could only get 2 at a time working, and the HD one was always the one
to go.
However, after lots of trial and error, and trying different tuners in
different USB ports, they now all seem to be working! And yes, it's
surviving reboots.
So not only do I have a working system again (after MONTHS of not
knowing the signal amplifier had died) for less than £10. I also have HD
TV working for the first time, via a tuner that I've been unable to get
working for about 18 months.
Thanks so much everyone!
Cheers,
Damian
