I really don't know what the problem is - and your mode of use seems to 
be 'Live TV' based, for which I have a TV;  but I wonder if you have 
cleared your channel list, and perhaps all your tuners, before doing the 
scans.  If not you may perhaps be adding higher and higher channel 
numbers, while still trying to access the originals.  I know it feels 
like boat burning - but perhaps worth a try.
