[mythtv-users] MythTV qtwebkit dependency

I'm running MythTV 0.27.5 under Gentoo right now, and I've been
preparing to upgrade to 0.28. In the topic on the list around the
existing 0.28 ebuild there was some question around the requirement
for qtwebkit.

Is qtwebkit in fact a hard requirement for MythTV even when nothing
like mythbrowser is in use? Looking at the configure script it appears
that it is, though I'm not 100% sure. Given that there's apparently
some odd bug where ruby is apparently a build time requirement for
qtwebkit 5, that starts turning into a pretty heavy requirement that
doesn't seem as though it should be required.
