[mythtv-users] building Mythtv without Mythbuntu??

So now that Mythbuntu is not being carried forward we need to build 
Mythtv differently.  I've always started with a bootable CDROM with 
Mythbuntu.

So is there a step-by-step instructions for adding Mythtv to an Ubuntu 
type distro?

I'm assuming that adding a ppa for mythbuntu and installing MCC gets me 
a long way there.

I've always kept install instructions around like: 
http://mythtvinstall.blogspot.com/

I figure I can still use the Mythbuntu 14.04 and 16.04, but moving 
forward those are dead.  Is that correct?
