[mythtv-users] Frontend hardware: VDPAU or VAAPI?

Kevin,
I was noticing dropped frames in recordings, too.

I just discovered that an 11-09-2016 nvidia-304 update had overwritten the
"Extensions" section of xorg.conf, with "Composite" "Disable". Once I
restored that section from a backup, the crawl is back to normal.

Beware: Ubuntu "Driver Manager" isn't always your friend! I'm still going
to replace this FE.
