I've had h264 from comcast for a while. It looks like they have also
changed channels that were previously h264 1080i to 720p.

Example:

Velocity Sept 28th
  Duration: 00:31:59.85, start: 47977.132767, bitrate: 3727 kb/s
    Stream #0:0[0x125a]: Video: h264 (High), yuv420p(tv, bt709), 1920x1080
[SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 29.97 fps, 59.94 tbr, 90k tbn, 59.94 tbc
    Stream #0:1[0x125b](eng): Audio: ac3 (AC-3 / 0x332D4341), 48000 Hz,
5.1(side), fltp, 384 kb/s

Oct 26th
Duration: 00:32:00.35, start: 82055.426378, bitrate: 3713 kb/s
    Stream #0:0[0x125a]: Video: h264 (High), yuv420p, 1280x720 [SAR 1:1 DAR
16:9], Closed Captions, 59.94 fps, 59.94 tbr, 90k tbn, 119.88 tbc
    Stream #0:1[0x125b](eng): Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1(side), fltp, 384
kb/s

Same show for both.

In reality which is better, I really have no clue. 1080p sure would have
been nice though.
