In the way you mean it, no...

Only MythTV developers have accounts, everyone else uses it
unauthenticated... 

However you can set preferences which are, AFAIK, saved in cookies...

PS: As far as I know even people with accounts (ie MythTV developers)
cannot easily reset their password because it's apparently done using
an htpasswd file...
