Peter,

I have been running 0.28 for many months and have seen this 
occasionally, in my case it was caused by Guide data.

You could have a look at the output from running "mythbackend 
--testsched" in  a terminal, it might give some clues on what is going 
on. The command lists what is going to be recorded, together with 
information on Video Source, Inputs etc.
