ah, i just noticed the weather channel, which is afflicted with rapidly 
stuttering sound, is mpeg2:

just disabled the license, set 4 cores, video only slightly jerkier...but still 
shrunken.

but on the bright side, @least the sound isn't dropping out (altho the weather 
channel's sound is still unlistenable)-:

but the gr8 news is eglfs works gr8-) video is smooth, non-flashing, sound

i'm watching 507(local abc) and 508 (local cable news) which are running the 
same feed (the capitol visitors' center shooting) and the sound on 508 is 
unlistenable...
