only thing that works 4 me is openmax:hdmi, and unless i set internal vol 
controls, i can't turn sound back up after it's zeroed when changing to certain 
channels (i had thought sound was fubduk when doing fixed volume, which it 
apparently isn't;-)

d'oh! changing audio dev to openmax:hdmi without also changing Mixer device to 
openmax causes the dreaded flash to black video...and when i change to channel 
from the osd guide, the video doesn't flash black, but the sound cuts out @ 
about the rate the video cut to black, when it doesn't segv:
