[mythtv-users] Using OpenMax with Raspberry PI frontend and display deinterlacing

I would like to playback 1080i content at it's native resolution and
let my display do the deinterlacing. I noticed with omxplayer there is
a commit that adds this capability

I'm not sure how OpenMax is used in the Raspberry frontend, but would
it be possible to add this functionality?
