Sorry, I have not been following this thread, so this may have already been
mentioned.

Latency on HDPVR and HLS is going to be very high compared to other
sources.  For example, the HDPVR generated keyframes every 2 seconds.
Other broadcast sources will have a keyframe every 0.5 seconds.  Myth's
LiveTV code is not optimized for such long delays and it causes issue.

Every few of years, someone typically steps up and tries to make Myth's
LiveTV code more robust.  They make a few improvements and then it gets set
aside again.  LiveTV is a bit of an after-thought, and it is unlikely to
ever work as well as recording.  That being said, I am willing to answer
any questions about that part of the code, if someone wants to take another
stab at it.
