[mythtv-users] 0.28 Capturecard table doesn't seem to be updating

Before I run mythtv-setup



mysql -u mythtv -p mythconverg -e "SELECT dvb_eitscan FROM capturecard WHERE cardid > 0;"
Enter password:

The tickboxes remain unchecked once I load setup. If I cancel out of Recordng Options, these values stay the same. If I click Finish though, regardless of if I tick them or not, the output becomes:

|           0 |
+-------------+

... and my EIT is no longer functioning.


An odd thing is that I have two capture cards listed but I have only one physcal device with "Max Recordings" set to 2, so maybe it should list two. The odd thing, to me at least, is that only one line is being affected by pressing Finish on the "Recording Options" screen. Perhaps this is normal?


If I then  "UPDATE mythconverg.capturecard SET dvb_eitscan = 1 WHERE cardid > 0;" the output returns to the former, and my EIT is working again.


This is sounding more like a bug, I think.

That's interesting - I can confirm this behaviour on my 0.28 test backend.
Interestingly changing a different tickbox like "Wait for SEQ start header"
will stick, but "Use DVB card for active EIT scan" does not. 0.27 behaves
correctly (for me) so it appears to be something specific to 0.28.

Question for OP - after SQL update when you go back into the Recording
Options screen is the "Use DVB card for active EIT scan" tickbox ticked? If
so, if you untick at this point does it remain unticked or does it revert to
the ticked state on exit.

Something to do with the change from cardinput to capturecard tables maybe?
