At least in most (pre-Frontier) areas FiOS is reasonably
CableCARD friendly, and most non-premium content
(Fox owned cables channels not-withstanding) are marked
copy freely.  OCUR tuners are usually suggested.

As with all else, the future is hard to accurately predict.
