To avoid the "mythtv enhanced" jitter from refresh rate mismatches see
patch in ticket #11246, still works in 0.28.
You still notice jitter on tickers & scrolling credits.
There is no downside (with native refresh rate displays) that I have
found.
In the same part of the code (same file)..one piece of LWRs patches
cures the post-seek PTS shuffle.
