workaround:
sudo vi /var/lib/dpkg/info/mythtv-database.postinst
remove the line containing 'ln'
sudo apt-get -f upgrade
start mythbackend in console and accept database upgrade

Not a proper fix, but it works....
Probably a packaging issue.
