Have you done the necessary systemd changes to allow mythbackend to
start up properly for external access?  Is there still a problem if
you stop and restart mythbackend?  If not, then it is not being
started up correctly.

For videos, are you using the video storage groups, or local
directories?  Other frontends will only be able to see videos in the
storage groups.
