[mythtv-users] mythbuntu-control-centre won't run

I'd like to upgrade from MyhtTV 0.27 to 0.28 on my MythBuntu 14.04 machine.
But when I run mythbuntu-control-centre as non-root I get a segmentation
fault error. When I run it as sudo I don't get a message but it just
returns me straight back to the command line in my xterm window and doesn't
run.

I uninstalled mythbuntu-control-centre and re-installed (which
interestingly installed a whole load of packages there weren't installed
before) but it still won't run.

Any idea what might be wrong?
