It *has* happened to others importing commercial devices
that violate the laws of the land.
Now, do all items get embargoed, certainly not, because
customs does not check every package (and if they did,
nothing would make it into the country). Will anything you
import into the US get embargoed, no idea, and I never
said it would. I said it could. Which is factually correct.

Amazon is not the importer there. That is a very important
difference (in the eyes of the law). When the rights holder
reports the infringement, Amazon will remove the product
(as they have for many other products of this form). It is
common that when one (re)seller gets banned another pops
up under a new name with a slightly different wording on the
product to see how long they get to keep selling. It is
whack-a-mole, but they keep playing. I have seen some
re-sellers last for what seems like years, and others
disappear in (what seems to be) weeks for items that (at
least from a casual scan) looked identical.

I made no threats, I pointed out facts. You and others are
free to draw your conclusions and decide your risk profiles,
but one should at least be aware of the possibilities if
one had not considered them. We have seen that others
in the industry are constantly looking for examples to be
made (Rightscorp is currently looking to expand after a
recent large ($25 Million) court win in the US). And MythTV
has been subject to previous assertions of malfeasance by
the industry (and the industry never forgets the NYTimes
article "Steal this show"). I think it is not unreasonable to
imagine that the project continues to be on the radar of
some.
It would appear that you failed to fully internalize
and follow rule #5 in the section of the wiki article

Thank you.
