16.04 already creates a symbolic link by the looks of it. Seems to be a
red herring in that its my original 14.04 install with 0.27 that had the
'hidden' config.xml file which was a copy of the master backend which of
course had the correct IP address and mysql password!!
Duh
Just got to sort out MCC now...
